California Lifer Newsletter
CLN is a comprehensive newsletter published six
times per year, with reviews of the latest published and unpublished
state and federal cases concerning parole issues, parole board news,
statistics, legislation and articles on prison, parole and correctional
issues of interest to prisoners and their families. Each issue contains
50 - 70 pages. Subscriptions to CLN for prisoners are $30 (or 60 First
Class stamps) per year (back issues are $7 or 25 stamps each); for
non-prisoners the subscription rate is $99 per year.
Colorado Criminal Justice Reform Coalition
A network of organizations, faith communities, and individuals
working to reverse the trend of mass incarceration in Colorado.
Quarterly newsletter: 'Colorado Justice Report'. Re-entry guide for
parolees, referrals & community resource list.
Works to eliminate classism and racism from prisons
and opposes the death penalty. Operates Garden Street Transitional House
for parolees. Publishes quarterly newsletter.

NCIA offers parole advocacy services to inmates
seeking parole, transfer between institutions, or death penalty
Southern Center for Human Rights
The Southern Center for Human Rights provides legal
representation to people facing the death penalty in Georgia and Alabama
only, and also publishes a Parolee Handbook, which serves as a guide the
parole consideration process for people in Georgia's prisons. SCHR also
publishes The Georgia Advocacy Handbook, a 46 page manual which helps
explain the hierarchy in the GDC and how to maneuver within in it.
Through this handbook families and friends of people incarcerated in
Georgia will learn how to become advocates and implement appropriate and
effective steps to resolve problems inside Georgia prisons.
