Hello. I’m Robert. I’ll be 37 in September. Been incarcerated 21 years since the tender age of 15. Come up for parole May 20, 2022. Currently have no place to stay if I make parole. I’ll be starting my life over. I’m looking for a friend willing to help in guiding me in all the things I’ve missed in the past 21 years. I’m 6’3”, a husky 260 lbs. Grew up playing baseball, the trumpet, hunting and fishing. I like to play volleyball, chess (correspondence chess anyone?), video games, roleplaying / card games. I like helping people, animals, playing music, tai chi, learning new things, reading, writing, and cooking. I’m currently the Program Coordinator in a Residential Alcohol and Drug Therapeutic Community (I don’t drink, do drugs, or smoke). It’s the highest position an inmate can have in the program. It helps people to find sobriety / recovery, and to learn a new way of life. I enjoy helping these guys, and helping the counselors run the program. I’d like to one day go skydiving, hiking, horseback riding, invent something, and have my own business. As well as find that special someone to be my rock, to be her rock, and to be a family. I’m an uncommon combination of geeky-athlete. I don’t have too many life experiences besides growing up fast in the concrete jungle-like, post-warzone that is a Mississippi prison. Which has only made my faith in God stronger for keeping me alive all these years through the BS of said prison. I’m a bit shy, so if you can get me to really open up, you’ve accomplished a feat most have failed. A buddy describes me as, “A nice guy, good friend, likes good time, loyal, consistent, mature, everyone’s favorite uncle…” LOL, I have a grand adventure ahead, full of mysteries. Anyone out there have the courage to help this wounded jailbird finish healing and start a new life? Or anyone want to make a new friend? This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to help mold and shape someone in my situation.
