By a totally random, spontaneous thought, I got the idea to try an outreach program. You could say that I am at a personal crossroads in my life and am looking for something totally different, challenging, and productive to do in my downtime.
Since I could walk and talk, I’ve always been intrigued by the human mind and our behaviors. Never one to judge too quickly, I’m always interested in someone’s story, because we all most certainly have one! Each one of our stories can assist another person’s journey. That’s what makes us all equally important.
I’ve learned in my 46 years of existence that my mother may have been right all along; we’re lucky if we meet a handful of true friends, in our entire lifetimes, who aren’t judgmental, nor have ulterior motives, especially in the world that I live in and that’s why I’m reaching out to the outside.
Admittedly, I have made my share (and more) of mistakes and bad decisions, that I’m sure have been contributing factors to the mental and physical prisons that I find myself currently in, but, I’m determined to hold my head high, to swallow my pride, and to keep a positive attitude. Setting attainable goals is practical and realistic and once achieved, the sense of accomplishment tends to push all of my failures further behind. That’s how I approach life.
Those mistakes forced me to change my life & I’ve worked very hard to do just that, mostly through education. I’ve earned 2 college degrees and am currently earning my welding certification. I’ve also completed many programs and have a file full of certificates and accomplishments, that have helped me grow from a boy, into a man.
I’m being released next year and am interested in meeting someone who’s down-to-earth, who has a sense of humor, who’s intelligent, and who has an open mind. I’m getting out to a brand new world that I know nothing about, so a genuine friend would be incredible! If you enjoy deep conversations with substance and depth, hit me up! I look forward to it!
