My name is Andrew. I’m writing this letter so close to getting out of the feds in hopes to find someone that can keep my mind away from anything negative that is beyond the walls of my incarceration. I’m currently in what some call “the belly of the beast.” But through the trial and tribulation I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. I understand the beginning of wisdom and the first part of truly becoming a man was to accept full responsibility for my actions. Yesterday, today, and tomorrow. I know everything we do in life is a choice. From writing this letter, to you reading it. Every cause has an effect, every action has a reaction, but overall everything happens for a reason. People might look at my present circumstance as something negative, but I see the positives through the cloud of misery. I’m very optimistic. I laugh to keep from getting mad, I smile to keep from getting sad. I’ve been through hell and back but know there is heaven waiting for me on the other side. I know what does not break me, will only make me stronger. I beg you, do not judge me upon my exterior, but take the time to get to know me for who I am. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, let me pull the wool from other your eyes and show you just how beautiful a lifetime friendship can be.

Allow me to introduce myself, I’m Justin and as you can see by the pictures, I love animals, especially dogs. I am looking for friends or that special someone who also loves animals. At my previous prison I was in the dog training program called Paws For Life, and trained hundreds of dogs that were rescued from kill shelters. I was transferred, not that I wanted to leave, to this prison as a “reward” for positive programming, and no dog program here, but I still have the beautiful memories of all the dogs saved. The two in the pictures are Vera (spotted) and Felix (red).

I am a 48-year-old Christian man, but you being a Christian is not a requirement to write. I enjoy talking to all people. I was in the Army for 6 years, and served in Bosnia in the 90’s. I love all music, but my favorites are country, contemporary Christian, and alt-rock. I am from Texas and really miss BBQ’s and riding horses. I’ve been in prison for over 20 years, so friendships are wonderful, especially since I don’t have the dogs anymore. Why should I write this guy? If you’re asking yourself that ~ allow me to assist you…

I grew up in Texas (no cowboy), but I do love and ride horses! I know when people hear you’re from Texas, they think cattle and land which we do have. But it’s way different! My father was in the military and I’ve traveled a few places like California, Mexico, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Arizona, and Germany. I love Germany and can speak a lil German. I like to see new things and meet all nationalities of people. Learning new cultures and different ways of life is beautiful to me! I am adventurous and love climbing to the next highest mountain. I go to the beach as much as possible 😊 While in prison I’ve grown to see how precious the world is; including us in it.

While incarcerated I have taken classes. But my 2 favs are: business and culinary arts. I plan to run my own company and I love to cook (a plus right?) 😊 and see the smile on people’s faces when I prepare a dish. I play handball, basketball, watch movies, work out, and write books and scripts.
