Dear Reader My name is Geno Gomez and I have been in prison 24 years, I go to the board on November 7, 2023 and there is a strong possibility I will receive a parole date. I am a 52 year old Mexican, 5’9” height and I weigh 175 pounds. I love working out five days a week, I love art, when I get out I will be going to truck school and barber school and my plans are to work with at-risk youth. I am from Orange County, the city of Santa Ana. My hobbies are working on and fixing up old cars, I love autobody and construction. I’m not lazy and I love to work. I’m an ex-gang member who committed a murder however I hae changed my life and today I go to church and facilitate programs such as GOGI, I’m a life coach and prep, I run 15 self help programs. So that’s the short version, I don’t use drugs. At one point in time, I partied and drank and used, however I quit and have been sober for over four years. In seven years, I relapsed one time, ten steps forward, and two steps back is still eight ahead of the game. Well just so you know I am serving a 15 to life (2nd degree) for murder. Take care and hope to hear from you soon. I have a tablet so if you like you can go to the app store on your phone and download (GTL – GettingOut) and then you put my CDC #E71691 and then my name and prison will pop up, also put Calipatria Prison. My tablet is a phone and we can communicate by phone or e-mail. Sincerely, Geno Gomez
