What’s up my name is Shamarr, but everyone calls me Rock. I am 6’1” and weight 225 pounds. I enjoy exercising, bodybuilding, music, especially playing the piano, and music production. I also enjoy sports and watching movies, I try to laugh and joke sometimes to keep my soul at peace. I truly believe people encounter each other through the universe, souls are connected through predestination, and whoever is meant to be a part of your journey will be there, and whoever is not meant to be a part of your journey will not be. I like to defy the odds and sometimes take chances, being open minded is a quality that I am working on. We only have one life to live, and you have to go after the things you want and try to attain them. If you settle and do not go after your goals, your soul will feel void and empty. I am in college right now majoring in business. There is a time to be serious and there is also a time to have some fun, I can also turn into a party animal, as they say turn up. There are 86,400 seconds in a day, I try to learn something or achieve something within those seconds, I am searching for a friend or possible soul mate, so we can explore our goals and ideas together. After 43+ years of incarceration the Ohio Parole Board has recently told me that I MIGHT have a chance of parole in 2027, provided I am able to fulfill their current requirements, one of which is to build a ”support group,” because family and old friends have long ago faded from my life.

I am Lee: 62, 5′ 7”, 160#, dark blue eyes, long dark red hair, non-smoking, -drinking and -drugs, semi-vegetarian, no tattoos, no health issues, slim and muscular due to an ongoing physically active lifestyle (I can still run 5 miles in <45min), spiritually Wiccan, always quiet and reserved.

I took 10 years of cognitive-based Groups through the 1990s which turned my life around 180° from the angry youth I had been and first made me care about other people so that I eventually came to truly grieve the harm I have caused others. I continue to grieve that harm done, and seek to do better every day.

I seek a female complement to my lifestyle to provide balance in my life; companionship to help me through these next 5 years then — hopefully — the transition back into Society (likely in the Lebanon, Ohio area). Someone to teach me how to do the simple things in life that I have never had to do before. Someone who can forgive that at 18 I murdered a woman I had planned to rape — for which I’ve never forgiven myself — and accept me as the gentle man I have become. Someone who can teach me to be sociable, for I’ve learned to spend my time alone.

The good thing is [I’ve never stopped fighting for my freedom]… I could get released or give some of this time back, less than 5 years remaining [of a 9 year sentence], at any given time.

Before my incarceration, I’ve been to most of the major U.S. cities, and Toronto several times [before they began banning U.S. felons]… can’t wait `til I’m released and get my passport renewed. One of my biggest regrets was not exploring the world when I had the time and cash to do such.

To ensure I never come back, I’m currently: learning about electronics (I’m going to open an electronics store); tightening up my Spanish; tryna give [back] all or some of this time before 2023; exercising 4 to 6 times a week. (outside of that, I’m on the phone a lot, and I watch T.V.)

I love/loved to do stuff. Never been skiing, but I plan on it. Chickened out twice on skydiving [once in Phoenix and once at a small airport outside of Akron… 3rd time’s gonna be the charm].

I love the water (great swimmer); I can’t wait to get certified and go scuba diving in the Pacific.

I’m the only child, I love my son (12), and my family’s close… I don’t lie, fake or exaggerate,
